MG in Shanghai?
I'm going to visit friends in Shanghai next week. Does anybody have a special wish of items to bring (preferable small...), things to photograph or a recommendation of a showroom or the like to visit? Right now I don't have any MG-related plans for my stay there... best regards joerg

Re: MG in Shanghai?
Chinese MG TF model car, 2007 scale 1:18 colour anyway, (preferred is yellow) Have a good time and don't look at what you get on the dish

Re: MG in Shanghai?
If it´s possible: a brochure of a chinese MGTF. It would be the highlight of my collection!

Re: MG in Shanghai?
Great initiative Jörg Dieter, actually it rains TF's: http://shop.ebay.de/items/_W0QQ_nkwZ1Q2 ... R40QQ_mdoZ... but just in case be careful, Erik had some really bad luck or we were just lucky with our charge: http://www.mgf-tf.com/phpBB2/viewtopic. ... 358#109358

Re: MG in Shanghai?
New brochure for me too. I'll give you English ones in return, which I will be bringing to the TdL in June. Jurgen can pick them up from me. Pictures of course, I would like some of them, especially the colours we don't have. I would also like some vin numbers to see the differences.
Many thanks, Adrian

Re: MG in Shanghai?
Go to Shanghai train-station. when you stand just in front of it: look to the right, and search for a big MG sign at the top of one of teh buildings. Take a Picture. It looks the best, when its already dark

Re: MG in Shanghai?
thanks, I'll try to find a dealer and bring whatever I can lay my hands on. does anybody have an adress of a dealership in shanghai? google didn't help so far, I'll ask my friends there to find out more.
@jutz: which train station?
@lars: man erfährt so wenig über mg in china, da dachte ich die chancen auf informationen stehen im internationalen teil besser...

Re: MG in Shanghai?
after five days here, i've seen lots of roewes, 2 mg7's, no TF's. zero. haven't found a dealership either and the only shop so far specializing on model-cars had exactly one 1\32 model of an MGB the shop assistant told me "we used to have those models, but nobody wanted them" they were not in any catalogue she had either. 2 days full of program remaining, but so far no luck guys, sorry!

Re: MG in Shanghai?
The only thing is I could think of so far would be this webshop / company Dong Guang Exceed Model Co. LtdIf I am correct they are based in the "near" of Hongkong which might be a bit too far away All in all enjoy your stay

Re: MG in Shanghai?
I'm back home and sadly without any MG-merchandise. There really was nothing to find - I really tried. The impression I got is that MG is not really present on the chinese market, most people I spoke with hadn't even heard of the cars. Off topic: wanted to have a welcome-home-drive around town but my F seems to have developed an HGF while I was away
