Hallo, my name is Anel and I'm sorry for posting here but my German is really bad and I don't know where to post so I did in the thread with the most visitors so my problem can be seen.

I'm also a very frequent member of mg-rover.org which is UKs' best MG forum.

To get to the point, I'm buying a MG TF in England and I'll drive it back home to Slovenia (my home) so I can drive it there, but the problem is that the head lights are not good for Slovenian roads and I wont make it through MOT.....and I would like to know is there any way of converting the UK lights to fit the standard in Europe here????

Or if anyone knows where to get the cheapest head lights, I would be most grateful I was looking on ebay.de but they are so expensive.

First of all: Welcome

the english headlights can be switched, so the light cone doesnt dazzle other drivers.
But thats only the temporarily solution for your way through europe.

For MOT you've to change the head lights.
... and yes they are expensive. thats forced of circumstance the prices of new parts are more than expansive.
you can ask some german carbreakers ( like A.Neufeld or deluxe autoteile, both also offers parts at ebay ).
perhaps you can pick them up on your way home.

The prices are ridiculous tho say the least, 600 for a pair is way to much I can get a car for that money wayyyy overpriced......

That's a massive set back as I can't drive the car in Slovenia till I sort this out...........Does anyone know any wrecked cars or MG from scrap yard to sell them cheaply ????

you should as it is on your way from UK to Frankfurt pass by the guys in Cologne. I'm quite sure they have some TF lights for you so just go there, talk to them and get the lights - pretty sure you will get them cheaper than 600 bugs. They have a lot of parts for F/TF and you can talk about the price
