Hello Herbie!

Well, maybe I should introduce myself here too, altough I'm living in Germany at the moment.

I'm a foreigner from north europe, living in the Stuttgart area since 3 years.
Working in IT.
Got a MGTF 160 and a bunch of bikes...

New experience for me, driving without a roof. I like it!

Happy New Year to you all!

Regards
Peter

Hello all,

Great idea Herbie (and others) to make the German board more accessible for non-German speaking enthusiasts. In the past I visited the old forum several times, but with my German skills there's no way I could participate :konfus:

I am sure many of you have some wonderfull and bright ideas. In the very early years (MG BBS) we were all very much influenced by the ideas and the way how to mod cars by the Brits. It's time to pickup some of the German ideas as well.

Anyway, back to the more important stuff: another Nightfire Red on this board

Great to have you here Erik, another warm welcome

So here we have the author of the great http://www.mgtf.be website "The English Fantasy" with his
famous and adorable F. You have a point with swapping ideas etc., so I will think about how we can bring them together (translation-wise etc.). :)

Ideas welcome any time !

Hi Herbie and all. As I said recently, a good idea to have an International section that we can all use. Us idiots that can only speak English can really join in, even other well established MG superstars have a common language, I wish you good luck and I'll visit regularly to keep up with what you're doing.

For those that don't know me, I'm the International co-ordinator for the MGF Register in the UK, I have just sold my Sienna Gold MGF after four years of Fun for a TF 80LE in Pearl Black here : Bild

Best wishes to you all, Adrian

Hello Adrian !
Welcome on board of the "MV" mgboard.de ;)

Can't wait to see the 80th in the flesh, absolutely gorgeous. Congrats again on the purchase :)
How's 'GoodAsGold' ?

It's alive and well 250km's north of me in Yorkshire. The new owner is very happy with it. I removed the graphics and took off the MGF number plates, so it's a "plain  " Gold MGF with the plates X63YCU if anybody sees it.

Hi Adrian! Welcome on board! Some of my friends in Liverpool are of the opinion, that some guys from Continental Europe have better English than some people in the UK... Just kiddin... I´m lookin forward to meeting you in Luxemburg, have a nice time until then!

Jurgen ! Hi how are you ? Yes, Dawn and I will be in Lux twice this year, once for the Tour de Lux and again for the MGCC Tour de Ardennes in late August. This time I will have three other UK cars with me. When we leave the TdL this year, we drive straight to Sweden for their national event the following weekend.

Will you be at Houten this weekend, if so, I'll see you there.

I hope you are coming to Center Parcs in September, I think it will be the second biggest European MGF/TF gathering of the year, after Kempenrit. We already have cars coming from as far as Sweden, Denmark and Norway, possibly Spain and Hungary too  .

Dieter, you always make me laugh, we can't understand people from Liverpool or the north east as well, in fact we can't even work out what language David Beckham speaks  Remember Neil from last years EEOTY, he's from Lancashire (close to Liverpool, but completely different) it's a land where they still put ferrets down their trousers and they all wear cloth caps ;) You are correct in what you say, the European standard for spoken English is better than the UK average. I remember a post on the mgf.be site recently about somebody trying to post by using an automatic translation site, he was asked to write in English as it was easier to understand :konfus:
